Two US agents have been fired for playing Pokémon Go during work hours.
This is according to documentation that was subsequently picked up by Vice. Los Angeles cops Louis Lozano and Eric Mitchell apparently failed to respond to a call from another cop to help stop a robbery in 2017 because they were busy playing Pokémon Go.
This is evident from images recorded via a video system in the police car. It turns out that the agents drove for twenty minutes to different locations to catch pokémon in the mobile game, while they talked about the game. After catching a Snorlax, a Togetic was hunted.
The officers were found guilty of wasting resources, violating public trust and unprofessional conduct, under a previous lawsuit. They decided to appeal, but last week they lost that case as well.
