It is likely that Elden Ring will not be released before April 2022.
This is evident from the expectations for the current fiscal year figures that Kadowaka Corp. has spoken. This parent company of Elden Ring developer FromSoftware reports that it expects relatively low revenues in this fiscal year, which runs through April 1, 2022. Net sales are down 15 percent and turnover by 52 percent.
While that’s not direct confirmation that Elden Ring won’t be released this fiscal year, it would make sense that Kadowaka would raise earnings expectations if a major new game from FromSoftware came out. It is therefore likely that the game will not be released before April 2022.
Elden Ring was announced in 2019 by publisher Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware. The latter is the developer of games such as Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. No official gameplay footage of the game has been released yet, and no release date has been announced.
