Singer S10 says she has found peace and confidence again in making music in Stockholm. The Dutch participant in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest traveled to the Swedish capital to work on new songs.

“I am so happy with the result,” S10 writes in her Instagram Stories about the new songs she has made. After two albums and two EPs, the 21-year-old singer said she was “stuck in making music”, but it all came out in Stockholm.

“Everything that has been in my head for a while has suddenly all been translated into songs. I am so excited to experiment a lot more and then share it all with you. Since I’ve been here I have regained so much peace and confidence in what I do. That’s a really nice feeling.”

S10 does say she misses her performances greatly. Since the start of the corona crisis, she could only play in front of a seated audience and she gets less satisfaction from that. “I hope with all my heart that something is finally allowed in this area this year.”

“I see all tours around me being moved for the fortieth time and ticket sales are also starting to become very impossible,” she continues. “Because why buy a ticket and look forward to it when you know it probably has to be moved? I hope with all my heart that that magic can come back this year.”

At the beginning of December it was announced that S10, the stage name of Stien den Hollander, will go to the Eurovision Song Contest for the Netherlands this year. The singer will perform a Dutch song in Turin.
