Although Techland previously indicated that it takes players 500 hours to fully complete Dying Light 2: Stay Human, the publisher has now nuanced that.
Last weekend, the developer announced that it takes 500 hours to complete the game for one hundred percent. The game came under fire on social media because gamers thought it was too long to play.
Techland also seemed to realize that the claim of a playing time of five hundred hours did not necessarily work as positive marketing. In the meantime, the company has also given additional explanation to the playing time of the game.
In the update, Techland says that the main story of Dying Light 2 can be completed in about twenty hours. It takes about eighty hours to complete all main and side missions. The 500 hours only applies to players who complete all missions, explore all content in the game, find all collectibles and make and see all choices and different endings.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human is out February 4 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Switch via the cloud. In the game, players survive in The City, which is running out of food due to the zombie outbreak. By forming alliances with factions and making different choices, players can influence how the city develops.
